About Israel Employment Innovations (IEI)

The “Israel Employment Innovation” (IEI) non-profit organization, founded in 2014, works to develop and promote innovative solutions in the employment sector. The organization focuses on effectively integrating various populations, with a primary emphasis on unemployed young adults.

Among the organization’s members are leading professionals, including Sarah Horesh (former Head of the Professional Training Division at the Ministry of Labor), Sari Cohen (former Head of Women’s Employment at the Ministry of Labor), Jonah Naim (former Jerusalem District Supervisor), and Colonel (res.) Moti Sagie.

The IEI's model is based on three key principles:

Academic level research

A deep understanding of the evolving job market

Understanding the target audience

A thorough familiarity with the complexities and needs of diverse populations

Practical and applicable solutions

Developing tools that lead to successful employment integration

Addressing the Employment Crisis in Israel

The Israeli job market has been in a rolling crisis since 2020. This constant uncertainty can lead to frustration and despair for many workers, potentially resulting in chronic unemployment. To address this, the IEI adopts Stephen Covey’s principle of the “Circle of Influence”, which emphasizes focusing on what is within our control and can be changed.

The organization offers clear, research-backed solutions based on extensive experience. Its approach focuses on strengthening an individual’s “employability”:

The Job Club serves as a safe and supportive space for individuals during their job search.

The five Foundations of Employability

The IEI's programs are built on five interconnected foundations that work together to provide continuous support:

  1. Identifying personal skills: The program begins by identifying each participant’s individual strengths and abilities.
  2. Getting to know the new world of work: Understanding the changing demands of the market, including new trends and technologies.
  3. Personalized tools for market demands: Acquiring practical tools to tailor one’s profile to current employment requirements.
  4. Building a vision: Practical tools for setting goals, planning ahead, and balancing personal and professional life.
  5. Job Club: Professional guidance within a supportive community of people who are going through similar experiences.

The organization’s programs are designed to be scalable, meaning they can be easily applied to groups of various sizes—from small cohorts to a national level-while maintaining professional excellence and personalized attention.

Personal Stories From Dream to Reality Program

Here is a collection of personal stories and testimonials from our program graduates. These authentic stories illustrate their journey from feeling stuck, hopeless, or uncertain to achieving the personal and professional goals they set for themselves.

"Until the age of 26, I studied at a yeshiva in Bnei Brak. At a certain point, as my family grew, I realized it was difficult to support them. I felt confused and didn't know how to start. I took a digital marketing course, but it didn't help me move forward. Thanks to your workshop, I learned what my real abilities are, what field I connect with, and how to overcome my fears. I learned to muster the motivation to make a change, and in the end, I started my own independent business."
Yossi
"I found it difficult to cope with the complex times we are in. My anxieties grew significantly, and the fear of the unknown and the stress from the security situation caused me to withdraw from social involvement. During the program, I received tools for managing crises, strengthening my mental resilience, and using positive self-talk. Because of this, I managed to return to my social, family, and community circles."
David
"I tried my luck as a delivery person, but it wasn't enough to support me and my family. It was hard for me to make a change to upgrade my skills and my income. I had low self-confidence and didn't believe I could find something else. In the program, I strengthened my self-confidence, recognized my skills, and saw that there are other ways to earn a living and succeed."
Haim
"At 29, a father of four, I had an accident and couldn't continue to work. I stayed at home for a long time and helped raise the kids. After a while, I realized I needed to cope and find a new path, either through studies or a job. When I joined the program, I wasn't sure it would help and didn't think I would be able to stick with it. In the end, I made every effort to attend, get the tools and information given in the meetings, and was very sad when it ended. I decided to go back to school and return to a routine."
Shmuel
"After finishing my seminary studies, I felt very confused about my future. It was important for me to start a family alongside professional development, but I didn't know how to balance the two. During the workshop, I realized it's possible to find the right balance between a good, full family life and meaningful work that matches my needs and abilities. I learned to face my fears, see myself in a positive light, and believe in myself. I received valuable tools for motivation, communication, achieving goals, and self-realization."
Sarah
"I am 41, married with 11 children. In my youth, I worked as a teacher for a few years and then focused on my family. Over the years, I took various enrichment courses. I attended all the workshop meetings because it was important for me to be a part of the process, despite my doubts about whether it was the right time to be active outside the home. I listened to the content, acquired new tools, and decided to try and find a new path. At the same time, I also started learning new skills, such as using a computer."
Esther
I'm 47, married with 9 children. I came to the workshop after working for a few years and recently starting my own business in nutrition and changing family eating habits. I felt my business wasn't progressing, was very frustrated, and thought about quitting everything. After the individual and group work in your program, I decided it was important for me to focus on my business and received the encouragement I needed to fulfill my dream."
Hagit
"When I joined the program, I shared that I had social difficulties and trouble dealing with people in social settings. This caused me great stress and a feeling of loneliness. I have very high intellectual abilities and feel comfortable in that area. During the workshop, I received encouragement from the other participants and the mentor. They saw something pleasant in me that made others connect with me, and I managed to build personal relationships. By the end of the program, I felt stronger personally and capable of advancing myself both personally and professionally."
